UCISAP was founded in 1971 to represent an industry that is a "key stone" in every modern economic system. The field of activity includes the design and manufacture of:
- press tools for metal sheets cutting and forming and diecasting dies
- moulds for plastic materials, rubber, glass and others
- special equipment for machining and assembly
- special purpose machines
- special precision machining
UCISAP is a non profit association which survives on the contributions of its members: this means complete independence and allows it to pursue its objectives in full respect of professional ethics.

The Statute
art.1 - Among the companies which produce press tools and dies, industrial equipment special precision machining, the following association is established:
"ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF PRECISION MOULD, DIES AND TOOLING MANUFACTURERS" (U.C.I.S.A.P.) located in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) - viale Fulvio Testi 128.
art. 2 - The association represents the whole country; it is strictly non-political, voluntary, non-profit and non-unionized. It represents the sector and safeguards its professional, economic and industrial work. Being a member of UCISAP entails duties and moral responsibilities towards fellow members and partners.
art. 3 - Ordinary members may use the association's logo, which is registered and protected by law. The logo must be used in observance of the enclosed rule, which is part of the statute.
art. 4 - All the companies whose work is described in Art. 1, employing at least 10 people, may be members of UCISAP. Special cases will be discussed by the board of directors and submitted to assembly approval (Art. 17 - f).
The association also includes supporting members, including companies or holdings whose activities are pursuant to Art. 1, both as suppliers of goods and services and as users; their legal premises may be outside Italy. The group of supporting members appoints a representative who may participate in board meetings, with no right to vote. The association also has joint members, including companies or company divisions or groups whose activities are pursuant to Art. 1 but whose products are not planned for the free market but used within the companies or holdings they belong to.
These members may participate in the assembly but with no right to vote, and they cannot be elected to the board of directors.Organization
Art. 14 - The Board of Directors is formed of:
- the President of the Association;
- min. 5 max 9 members (see art. 11)
The members of the Board of Directors hold office for 2 years and can be reelected.
Should more than the half of the Directors be absent during the biennium, the President must convene the Assembly for new elections, pursuant to the rules of the Statute.
